These terms govern your use of lahoda.app. By browsing the directory, contacting a provider, publishing a review or creating a provider profile, you accept them. Questions: hello@lahoda.app.
What Lahoda is — and is not
Lahoda is an introduction directory: it helps clients discover independent, self-employed service providers and contact them directly. Every agreement for services — scope, price, timing, payment — is made solely between the client and the provider. Lahoda is not a party to that agreement, does not process payments, and does not supervise, schedule or guarantee any service.
Lahoda is not an employment agency or employment business. Providers are independent businesses acting on their own account; nothing on Lahoda creates employment, agency or partnership between Lahoda and any provider, or between any client and Lahoda.
Verification and your own judgement
An “ID verified” badge means we have checked an identity document against the profile name — nothing more. It is not a guarantee of skill, insurance, qualifications or conduct. Clients should make their own checks appropriate to the service (insurance, references, certifications such as Gas Safe or NICEIC where relevant) before engaging a provider.
Provider responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current profile information and own the rights to all photos you upload.
- Hold any licences, qualifications and insurance required for the services you offer, and comply with UK law, including your right to operate as self-employed and your own tax obligations.
- Honour the prices shown as honest starting points and agree final terms directly with the client.
- We may decline, suspend or remove any profile that breaches these terms, receives credible serious complaints, or misuses the platform. Listing is currently free; if paid listing is introduced, existing providers will get reasonable notice.
Reviews
Reviews must describe a genuine client experience with the provider. We may moderate or remove reviews that are fake, defamatory, abusive, or unrelated to a real service experience. Providers may not review themselves or arrange fake reviews — this is grounds for removal.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful, misleading or infringing content anywhere on the platform.
- No scraping, bulk harvesting of contact details, or interfering with the service's operation.
- No use of the platform to offer services that are illegal or that require licences you do not hold.
Liability
Lahoda is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any service arranged through the directory, or for disputes between clients and providers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or affects consumers' statutory rights.
Intellectual property
The Lahoda name, kalyna mark and platform design belong to us. Content you publish remains yours; by publishing it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform and in previews of it (for example, search engines and link previews).
General
We may update these terms; material changes will be dated above and notified to signed-in providers. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any clause is found invalid, the rest remain in force.
